True Statement:
One hundred years from now, anyone reading your correspondence will not know the difference between a "butt dial" and a "booty call."
In just 25 years, the phrase "9-11" already evokes VERY different responses from someone under the age of 25 than it does from someone over the age of 35.
No matter how much we write or how many details we provide, anyone under the age of 25 would want to do the work to better understand all the many aspects of the local and global culture of the time.
The bible assumes you know more than you do!
Like your correspondence today, it assumes the reader understands the local and global dynamics, cultures, and customs from 2,000 years ago!
So we, as the readers, have to want to do the work to better understand the context in which it was written.
I wrote this book for those who want to do the work to better understand the cultural context of some familiar bible passages, seeking to understand what the bible assumes you already know.
I believe you'll be surprised where it takes us!
